These problems where fixed with an OOTP 13 update, and there are no issues around anymore that I am aware of.

That's a poor and cheap evaluation for sure. I think Markus takes a lot of pride in what he puts in this game and I highly doubt anything gets thrown in as an afterthought.

OOTP has, over the years, added many things. Some of them were just bare bones when they first came along and grew into something great as development progressed. A feature as complicated as this doesn't get thrown together perfectly on the first try.

Storylines - they were a very nice addition, but most would agree they had a lot of room to grow. Now look at them, getting better with every new version.

Point is, a lot of things added to OOTP aren't perfect in their infancy, but eventually grow into amazing additions to the game.

I'm sure this is something that will grow into a much more detailed feature as the game continues into the future.

Unfortunately, I suspect there's a lot of other interesting features that could be added to OOTP that would suffer from the same problem. How much can associations be expanded as a feature given the coding structural constraints you mentioned?

I just came across this. I think this might be useful for me to regulate certain types of playoffs I want to implement.
