Help-How to reduce a non-fictional # of league games

I want to play with real players but I actually want to play every game so I want to reduce the number of games from 162 in a season to 40 or so. But I can't do so without having to play with fictional players. Is there any alternative?

League setup>Options. Right-hand side, number of games per team. Make sure you generate a new schedule under the "functions" tab.
