Non-Guaranteed Contract

I'm not sure who's seen this, but in Editor mode (Commissioner), when editing a contract, you can select "Non-Guaranteed". This was one of the things that I wanted desperately for OOTP14, as the method works so well in the NFL - Players must peform to earn their money, if not they're cut and the team isn't responsible for the salary, just any up-front, guaranteed money. The issue is, that checking this box doesn't seem to work this way. I tested it out and when I tried releasing the player, it said I'd still be responsible for his salary. Does anyone have input on this?

IIRC, a non-guaranteed contract is a minor-league contract that jumps to the contract amount if the player is called up before a certain date. If the player is not called up by that date, they can elect to become a free agent again.

There is a setting somewhere, I believe, that allows you to determine what percentage of the amount remaining on the contract will be paid out should the player be released. However, I think this is only available when using the 'reserve clause era' option.

Thanks guys, I really hope we get true non-guaranteed contracts in OOTP15...
