Almanac Question
So, I created a fictional league starting in 2013.
I went back to look at some old box scores using the almanac today (I'm in 2016 in the game now), and they're not there. When I go into my OOTP folders, there's nothing showing up in the boxscores for 2013 almanac folder, 2014, or 2015. When I go into the news/boxscores for this season currently going, there are boxscores for some games from 2013's playoff series, 2014 playoff series, and then from halfway through 2015. No way to get the old ones back, correct? FTR - I had it set to save box scores, game logs for all leagues since the beginning, and no replays. Now I've switched to save all 3 for all leagues and hopefully this will help it do the right thing this Dec 31st. |

You have to set it in the Almanac Options. Setting in your manager options doesn't affect what is saved in the Almanac.
When you're on the Almanac Setup Page, click the "Edit Profile" button, top option. In there is a long long list of the things you can have the Almanac save. Select as desired. |

Almanac not saving box scores or game logs...
I have the same problem. Everything goes into almanac but box scores and game logs - and both are checked to be saved.
When I got OOTP14 started a new league at 1871. Here is routine I have done since: At the end of the post-season and awards, I backup the League folder to two other drives for safe keeping. When next pre-season arrives, I move the box scores and game logs from news\html folders to the almanac's box and log folders Sticky Notes remind me of these two events ![]() Another issue I have been struggling with since OOTP13 is that Real Time Simulation does not even created log files. I 'watch' each game unfold on real time screen each day, and then I have to view (create) the log file for each game when day is over.....

Yeah, I think that's what I'd have to do as well.
I'm not sure it's worth it to me at this point. Thank you though. |

Hope so

I'm having the same issue. Also, my history folder in all my almanacs is empty, in spite of the fact that I have the history checkboxes checked in the almanac options. Can anyone else confirm this behavior?

Hmm, I seem maybe that I 've solved this issue? Instead of trying to check all the boxes myself, clicking the quick button for complete almanac profile and re-checking the history boxes, it seems like everything(?) is ok now....I'll keep an eye on it.

I just recently ran into this problem as well - box scores and game logs were checked in the almanac profile, but didn't get saved in the almanac. This does appear to be a bug, but here's how I worked around it.
- On the Almanac tab of the Game Setup, click the "Load Profile" button next to the "Complete Almanac". That turns pretty much everything on (except History I think). - Click "Edit Profile" and uncheck anything you don't want. - For "Toggle report level", you can use either - I use "Online" to cut down on the number of files since I don't need the splits, etc. - For "Select reports", I just make sure pretty much everything here is checked. Don't worry, even if all of the "history" reports on this list are checked, if you have the "History" checkbox in the "Edit Profile" screen unchecked, it won't include History. So it's safest to turn on all reports on "Select reports" and filter out what you don't want on the "Edit Profile" screen. - Check/uncheck the boxes about photos depending on what you want. In a limited test, these were the settings that worked for me. If you want to test your settings, just manually generate the almanac at any point in the season - you can always delete the folder and re-generate it later. Hope it helps and have fun! Edit: Zweiblumen, somehow I missed your follow-up post and realized you said pretty much the same thing I did but with much fewer words! Last edited by hefalumps; 07-09-2013 at 11:22 PM. |

I did some checking - it is on the bug list, however no indication if a fix is coming with the next update.
At least we know OOTP Dev is aware of it.
