The Blue Jays batters just kept pounding Seattle pitching, hit after hit, finally beating them 12-4.

John Castino went 3 for 6 with 4 RBI. Champ Summers got the only homerun for Toronto.

LP - Mike Bruhert (12-8)

Record - 70-55

Still two games back of the Tigers.

The Mariners hitters got some revenge as they took in to Jim Clancy and the Jays, beating them 7-3.

Jerome Thomson was ejected after a heated exchange with the umpire.

The Tigers have now won 5 in a row and the Jays are 3 games back.

Mark Foster went the distance as the Jays beat the Mariners 3-2. Matt Robinson got his 15th homer of the season.

Both starting pitchers took a bit of a beating early, but when things settles down it was the Angles with the 7-5 lead, which held out after the last five scoreless innings.

The Blue Jays took advantage of a tiring Nolan Ryan but the hole they were in from the fresh Nolan Ryan was too much to overcome as they fell 4-3 to the Angels.

Mike Parrott tossed a 2-hit complete game shutout agains the A's, striking out 8! Meanwhile the Jays hitters chipped away for a 6-0 win!

A loss for the Tigers and the Jays are back within 2 games of the lead.

Note: The next morning Parrott woke up nauseous and is expected to miss 4 days. He should be good for his next start.
