Rosters and suspended players
In my game I want to remove players from certain teams' rosters by suspending the player. This simulates players failing drug tests, gambling, etc.
However, when the player is suspended, the player is still taking up a spot on the 25 person roster. Why does the suspended player remain on the 25 man roster. Can I adjust the settings so that the AI replaces the suspended player(s) with eligible players? Or... do I have to delete or retire a player to remove him from a game? |

In most cases IRL, suspended players can't be taken off the 25-man roster. That's the nature of a suspension.
Drug suspensions work differently, but I don't think OOTP understands the difference. Probably the easiest way to accomplish what you want to do would be to edit the player to be "injured" and set the injury duration for the duration of the suspension. |

Because OOTP does not reproduce the suspended list, which is where such players would actually go in reality.
Not sure what the difficulty is in adding it using the existing DL as a model, only requiring the "suspended" flag instead of "injured", but I'm not a programmer so what do I know. |

As eriqjaffe noted, suspensions for 'standard' rule violations are different than for PED violations. In the former, the player is still on the roster but can't play. In the latter, the player technically goes on the restricted list, which means they are ineligible to play but don't count against the club's roster (active or 40-man).
