Fictional Play

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I did a search but wasn't able to find a recent update on fictional play. Is the plan to still give this some attention before the release?

A fictional option to generate players and teams would be enough to satisfy me for the first release because making the changes individually was very time consuming. I am at the point in the game where I can't go any further without crashing because of the changes I made.

Not a complaint just a question!

I'm hoping for this as well. I don't see how it's hard if the game has the ability to create fictional players. Just have it create XXXX # of fictional players and put them in a pool. Or let us delete all existing players and have a massive draft.

They'll add in aliens from Pluto that have one arm and 17 legs. Haha! Jk. You'll be able to rename players and should be able to edit the full database at some point.

I was hoping that the delay meant that they were going to add full fictional mode like we see in ootp. I believe we have enticed them to highly consider it but from the looks of the game right now i would be shocked if it were included in the first version.

Why shocked? From Jeff's last post, it sounds like they are almost done laying the groundwork for that.

That's right! If the development team would have gone hardcoded, then that's where we would have known that fictional probably would never happen.

I continue to be amazed how many people out there jump straight from "where is x feature" to "they're not going to have that in time for release!"

5 months is a long time. Chill out.

The project is in development for 18+ months... and it was clearly stated (here) that a full fictional mode was not planned for the release version in September. So I guess it is fair to say that we should not expect such a mode (which would be a shame).

Not planned for initial release but could still be there before September. I don't think they anticipated the amount of people that would want full out fictional
