Anyone have the same issue?

Whenever I look at my various lineup screens under lineups (LHP, RHP, LHP+DH, etc) they always default to showing the batting stats view. I change it manually endlessly to view Default but as soon as I switch to a different lineup view it goes back to Batting Stats - a minor annoyance but is driving me crazy!

One thing we have asked for in the past is "sticky views", but I've also noticed it didn't make the cut.

Well, that is intentional behavior which was requested by many users. It's tough to please everyone I guess

Thanks Markus - if it was an intentional change it's fine, even though it's not how I like to play my game - but I can always customize the view to make sure it is showing me the info I want.

No worries, it would just be nice it the game remembered what views I like on what screen.

Should of been the most important upgrade if so many requested it.

Seems like this would please the most people. The only people who are getting their preferred mode as it is are the ones who happen to go to a screen, change it to some other view, and then want OOTP to automatically change it back for them when they come back to that screen -- AND happen to like the hardcoded default view. That's gotta be a very small population.

I would agree.. why would I change to a certain view and then have the game, change it next time I come back to the screen? Especially when I have made my own views.

It's like waivers, I want to see ALL/batters and pitchers, but some of the time, it defaults to batters.

The game should store my last view setting somewhere and when I go back to that screen, it should go to that view.

I agree, too. I posted this in the bug forum thinking it was a bug. It didn't seem to work like this in OOTP13 - I believe you could set a custom view and return to that view when you came back to that screen. I don't want the default view and it's really a pain to switch back to my custom view every time I return to a screen. This is one of the reasons I haven't started using OOTP14 and am sticking with my OOTP13 leagues.

I wish there was a button where we could set the current view as the default for a particular screen. I wonder if this would be hard to implement? I've created a lot of different views for different screens and yet each time, I have to change to them when I go to those screens - so annoying! I so wish they could be the default.

If someone can come up with a good proposal for handling views, I'll log it in the system and maybe he'll reconsider if it's not too hard to implement. If not for OOTP 14, maybe OOTP 15. So any ideas?

I just went back to OOTP 13 to test this and sure enough, it remembered the last view you were using. Still, I'd prefer to have a default set manually for each screen. That way, if I want to change views while looking at a single screen, it will still go back to my favorite view later.

It doesn't do that in v13 100% of the time though, especially on screens like shortlist, waivers, possible FA, in game, etc..

I don't know of an easy way except like you said, have a button on each screen that says, "Set as Default view", once it's set it defaults to that view unless you change it.

Would please the other folks who always want it reverting back to a particular view as well since once you set it at that view and change it, unless you click that button, it would go back to the view you told to default to in the first place.

Changing the view every time I go to a screen is getting to be a giant pain in the butt. Is this not bothering anyone else as much as it is me?

Don't take this wrong because I would love it if all of the screens would remember what I view I like but.....

I'm old and started playing baseball games with Strat O Matic in the late 60's. I would get out the game, player cards, set batting order, select SP, dice, fielding chart, score pad, have to manually score the game, transfer the stats to my notecards for each player, every 20 games or so I would manually tabulate stats, then hand write a league leaders sheet for pitchers and batters, and of course hand write league standings. So........

Going to a tab that auto scrolls for me and then selecting the view I want doesn't seem to be a big deal

Younger guys mileage may vary

I remember those day, too. Don't you remember how cool it was when you found out that a computer could do all that busy-work for you? It's especially frustrating when you know that the computer can just be told do remember your view and bring it back fairly easily.
