As I noted above, you can find the IDs in the "master" file in the stats folder. You can open the file in any spreadsheet program (eg: Excel).

Ok I got my players loaded into free agent pool. Now is there anyway to get them on appropriate team without offering contracts

Assign them to whichever team you wish.
About halfway down the left side of the player editor page is where you choose. |

Those are pull down menus. I assume major league2010 is your league. Select that. Once you do the pull down below will list the teams in your league. Just select the team for the player and he'll be on that roster.

exporting and importing roster between leagues isn't recommended i don't think, I'd try loading your old league save it as a template then load that and see if you can get a working schedule

Well, you import them the same way you export them I think. You would have to move the export file from the import_export folder in your old league over to the same folder in your new league. Here is the link to the OOTP 11 manual about import/export functions; it should still be applicable in v12: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/docu...port_functions
But I'm not sure that will work. I assume that the rosters have a team id field in them and I would assume that the team ids will not match up (i.e. it will probably barf, but even if it didn't everyone would probably end up on the wrong teams). But there is only one way to find out. Maybe if you release everyone to FA, then export, then import in new league, then reassign all players to the right teams, then maybe it would work. Try that if the first idea doesn't work. Last edited by TribeFanInNC; 10-05-2011 at 02:12 PM. |
