What's an Easy Way to Have Less Then 24 ST Games?

I am working on a NFL style season of 16 games yet I have 24 ST games.

Would i be able to use GMO schedule for reg season and apply that to ST?
Should i just create my own of 4 preseason games? Wont be hard to manually do this but i was hoping for an easier way.

Also wondering how to do this for leagues where i start with a total of 8 -12 teams.

Just off the top of my head, can you edit the ST schedule and just delete the games you don't want? You are more versed in OOTP customization than I am, so you may have already looked into that though. I know there's no option for number of ST games.

I'm not sure it is possible since the spring training schedule doesn't populate until after preseason is over. By that time it is too late to customize the schedule.
