What is the strangest country you have ever found a prospect in?

Through international scouting, did you ever find a player in a far out country that will probably never produce a baseball player in real life? Was he any good?

I've found solid players from Jamaica & Finland. They came to the states and joined teams in my Western America Baseball Association league and became 4 or 5 star bench players.

I had a star pitcher who was Armenian in one league. I have had a couple stars from Aruba as well.

Well Finland is kinda interesting since we play a quite popular game which is quite similar to baseball (as its originally developed from it). More info in wiki if you're interested: Pesäpallo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
