Losing a starting pitcher to the Rule 5? Bug?

I was wanting to get rid of Wandy Rodriguez's contract before the offseason, and I overshot the trade deadline by a day on accident. The AI was willing to make a 1-1 swap for David Price, so I cheated and manually swapped both player's teams.

At the end of the year, Price was claimed in the Rule 5 draft and I lost him. I'm pretty sure this isn't supposed to happen

I'm guessing it had something to do with me manually changing the players.

If you inadvertently forgot to put the player back onto the 40-man roster after the swapping, then he would be available to be selected in the Rule 5 draft.

Is it really necessary to create more than one thread?

That would make sense. It seems like placing a player on an MLB team should automatically put them on the 40 man though.

And I only made one topic unless I inadvertently hit submit twice
