Creating an online league help

A buddy and me are wanting to play OOTP 11 in a league together as in the same file, so to do this i would think i have to set up an online league and let him export to a website and that kind of thing. Does anyone who has started a league have a cheat sheet that can help me do this or some tips? I've read the manual about it but didnt know if there was a "expert" who could explain it better.

Appreciate any help!
