Question Real Leagues, Fake Players.

Hi,

I used add-ons central to get the 2010 MLB all-in-one pack. Create a 2010 MLB game from the main menu works great. But what I want to do is use all the league, financials, park, logo, etc info but populate it with fake players. What is the best way to do this? I guess I could go into commisioner mode and delete all the players, then populate the teams with players?

Bonus Question: What if I wanted to start a game in 1980 or so, and sim to present so my fake players have stats going back? Would this also lead to a better mix of players?

Thanks! I wish I had more time to devote to OOTP to work out this stuff on my own, but I really just want to dive in.

Yes. I think that is the quickest way.

No way to give you a definitive answer. IMHO, I think the only real benefit is that your players have stats. That would probably influence AI behavior, but only stats for the previous couple of years. Other than that, you just have history, which can help make the experience more immersive, I suppose. I am not one of those who think that doing this somehow makes the league better, more realistic or anything else. But there are others who would disagree with that.

In any event, it can't hurt.

What, exactly, do you mean by "Better Mix"?
