"out of the park 10 has stopped working"
"a problem has caused the game to stop working correctly. Windows will close the game and notify you if a solution is available."
im using windows 7 and this started to happen out of the blue. i've tried adminastrator mode, and i've tryed changing the compatibility to xp, and i've tryied restarting the game and the system. nothing seems to be working. help would be appreicated. some times the message apears while the game is loading and sometimes it happens when dlingt the league file. This just started happening to me this past week as well. Very strange as it NEVER happened before.
My freezes are happening when I go to some sort of menu and try reordering something. At first, I thought it was just when reordering financial info on a manager shortlist, but now I had it while just organizing "stuff" ratings for pitchers on the waiver wire. Very frustrating as the game takes too long to save to do it all of the time. What could be causing this suddenly?

I am running Vista and am having the same problem, I cannot play for more then two minutes or so before I get the same message. I uninstalled/reinstalled, same results...any help would be wonderful...Thanks

Have any of you tried reinstalling to another location (i.e. not the default directory)? Could help. Maybe.

Can you provide any steps or actions you may be taking while the game is running when this happens? Are you running a fairly decent machine and any other CPU or memory intensive programs along with OOTP?

I am running 2GB of RAM as well, nothing running behind it typically...I have had the message doing many types of things...Setting lineups, making trades, I played around with the editor and after that it put up the message.

Mine happens whenever I load a league now. I had no problems for a year. I am running Windows 7, but have had it loaded for a couple of months.. Has anyone figured this out?

Ideally, more information would help us figure this out together. Here are a few more targeted questions:
What have you guys done to try to fix this? Did this start happening after the game was shutdown unexpectedly? Have you uninstalled and reinstalled the program (remember to unlicense the game first) in the default directory? Does this happen in all your leagues or just a specific one? Have you tried to reinstall the program to a different directory? Did you install any programs or updates about the time this started happening? The easier explatations are that either a game file is corrupted, a league file is corrupted, or there is another program conflicting with OOTP. Of course there is no guarantee everybody has related issues, but we'll try to fix them. |
