First round Game Sevens
There are 3 Game 7's in the first round:
The most exciting game was Colorado, down to their last out, beating the Kings on a 2-run home run in the 9th. |

Conference Finals preview
Both #1 seeds are gone. San Jose led 3-2 and lost 4-3. Hartford led 2-0 and lost 4-2. It just goes to show you that anything can happen in the playoffs.

Excellent job on the Logos'
Didn't read the whole tread, but is it safe to say that the Leafs have never won a CUP?

I just checked the history, and the Leafs are the only team to never make it to the Stanley Cup Finals. Out of the 32 teams, there are 7 that have never won a Stanley Cup. (Detroit, Toronto, Quebec, Dallas, Edmonton, Nashville, Colorado) Last edited by jg2977; 08-13-2009 at 12:26 PM. |

1967 Stanley Cup Finals preview
Phoenix Coyotes (97-65) vs. Montreal Canadiens (99-63)
Montreal has won its 5th Eastern Conference Championship. their first in twenty years. They were in the Cup Finals in 1931, 1933, 1940, and 1947. Their lone title was in 1931 when they defeated the Detroit Red Wings. Montreal got here by beating Quebec in five, Ottawa in five, and Boston in seven. Phoenix has won its 4th Western Conference Championship, their first in twenty-two years. They were in the Cup Finals in 1922, 1940, and 1945. The Coyotes won the Cup in 1922 and 1940, so they are looking for their third title. Phoenix got here by beating Chicago in five, Winnipeg in six, and Colorado in seven. This series is a rematch of the 1940 Finals, when Phoenix defeated Montreal in five games. |

1967 Stanley Cup Finals, Game 6
Phoenix has come all the way back from 0-3 down to force Game 7. This could be a horrible collapse for Montreal.
