OOTP 8 keeps crashing on my mac

I just purchased the game today so I have the most current build (8.0.0.13). I am running a 1.25 GHz Powerbook G4 with 512 MB of RAM running OSX 10.4.11.

This game is for the most part unresponsive. I can start new leagues, but any time i click on any of the options i can never recover from the rainbow colored pinwheel. I have disabled the face gen as was suggested on many of these threads, and I still am having no luck.

I am really excited to dive into this game, but I am frustrated with my inability to get it to work.

I am also on a Mac and my program keeps crashing also. I seem to have it crashing at the end of my first historical season when it tries to upload the players for the next years draft. However, I also have had it crashing at what seemed to be random times when playing. Any help would be greatly appreciated as well.

I'm running the latest version of OOTP 8 off of my MacBook Pro.

I seemed to be getting those random crashes as well. I nearly finished my first season when I experienced the first crash.

I continue to get crashes consistently when I click on my prospects through the Minor League System report on my team page.

The program also crashes when I click on players I have traded for/non-original team players on my news page.

Edit: Now it's the offseason between season 1 and season 2. The game crashes each time I try to go to my transactions page.
