Randy Moss
Welcome to New England!
Midway into the 3rd: 6 receptions, 157 yards, 1 TD Just caught a 60 yard bomb where he beat the hell out of three Jets' secondary players.

Andre Johnson is carrying my Fantasy team as of this moment. 4 catches, 116 yards, 1 TD. That's 17.6 fantasy points!

I wonder when he'll pay Oakland back for robbing them for 2 years.

Don't blame Moss for his years in Oakland, you gotta look at what was around him. You can't stick the best WR on a team that sucks and except him to change everything. If you don't have anyone throwing to the best WR, what do you expect?

It's going to be funny watching the east coast media do a 180 on Moss.

Brady to Moss is shaping up to be the connection NE fans were hoping, for sure. Very impressive first game together.

Some sort of effort? He was making about 100 mil after all. I don't blame every player that plays on a bad team for having their numbers go down but it was blatantly obvious he didn't give a crap and gave up. There are lots of players who put up respectable numbers on horrible teams. Now that he's on a good team and is essentially playing for a new contract he magically throws up 150 yds on a "bad hammy"? Sorry not buying it. I always say, "Never bet against Vince Carter in a contract year" same goes for Moss. |

I think Randy had more of a beef with the front office about their effort than vice versa.

I was ridiculed for calling Moss one of the top 5 receivers in football a year ago
He has been in the top 5 since he entered the league He has just suffered some years from not playing in offenses worth a damn |

Moss hasn't been a top 5 WR in the NFL since 2003. Maybe he will jump back into it this year but from 04-06 he was NOT a top 5 guy, no matter how bad the QB was that was throwing to him.

I didn't think Moss looked very good honestly. Seemed like he could have played better. Maybe it's just a deceiving look.

Definitely deception. Throughout the entire game I was saying "he looks slow", but then you realize he's just more swift and can outrun anyone on the field on any play.

Flipside, perhaps Moss should sue them for robbing him of two years from his career.

I'm not talking about statistics, if you actually WATCHED him play he wasn't even trying. If you want to discuss some stats though, feel free to look at some really bad teams and you'll find plenty of receivers who were able to put up respectable numbers on those teams. Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, and Anquan Boldin immediately come to mind and I'm sure there are more examples of guys who still give a crap even if their teams are bad. Why would I have sour grapes? I hate the Raiders. I just know when a guy is playing hard and when he's packed it in and Moss packed in the last year and a half he was in Oakland.

You can say Moss did get punished for not trying though, considering the significant pay cut in his new deal with the Patriots. From his perspective, it's more or less fair. Now maybe Raiders can ask Patriots for some money then it'd be all good........
