Active Roster Issue in Spring Training
I'm not able to take players from DFA into the active roster during the Spring when my active roster is over the league 30 man limit. However, I started the Spring with 38 on active, went down to 35, should be able to add again as I'm not to opening day yet. Message I get is "An Error Occurred -- The Active Roster is Full". A computer team I traded with was able to add their side of the trade back into their active, and they are also over the 30 (since it's Spring that should be okay). Not sure why I keep getting this error message.

Because of the way the game handles Spring Training rosters (i.e., "expanding" to the size of the secondary roster...usually 40, but 30 in your case), that's the way it works. If you have more players than are allowed on the Active Roster, then you won't be allowed to add more.
There is a TON of discussion about the right way to handle ST rosters in the future. If we're exceedingly lucky, we'll get these changes in the 2nd patch, but I'm not holding my breath. It's not as simple as is sounds.
