Some Widescreen Issues
First off, this isn't a "problem," per se, but I think my game's display could be even better, so this is in tech. support (plus this forum is filled with smart tech people
).Okay, I have a laptop (Toshiba Satellite A105-s2051) and a 2nd monitor (Acer AL1917W). Both are natively widescreen, 1280x800 and 1440x900 respectively. Would I be correct in saying that a higher resolution would be better than a lower one for this game? Secondly, even though my laptop (with it's VGA connection capabilities to the monitor) doesn't support 1440x900, is there any way I can "trick" it to, since the monitor I want to use for the game does support it. I may not have explained that well or given enough info, let me know if it's unclear. Thanks in advance for any help.

the higher resolution is better for most people, since you can have more information on the screen. Depending on the screen size though, the text might be a little harder to read on at the higher res.
As for your running at 1440, it depends if your video card supports that res (both the monitor and video card need to support the res). If it doesn't, then you are probably out of luck. Do you have the latest video drivers for your card installed? Last edited by edm; 04-01-2007 at 10:39 PM. |
