General Baseball / Park Factor Question
Do Park Factors effect Plate Appearances that do not involve a ball put in play (ie K, BB)?
For example, if a Park's Factor is 104, are there 4% more walks at that park? Is the PF irrelevent, meaning a 0% increase? Or is there an affect, but one smaller than a 4% increase? How about for strikeouts? Park's aren't affected by just dimensions, weather or altitude. It could also be the hitter's background (view behind CF) or a slight change in mound height. Has anyone ever done a study on this? If not, what is your opinion of this?

As far as I know, park factors affect only those items that have individual settings. I don't think park factors affect walks, for example. Dimensions have no influence. Weather has a small influence in outcomes.
