Cool!

I don't think one of my quips has ever made it into anyone's signature before. It's especially sweet knowing it was the result of needling Mal.

Thanks!

If you want to simulate a little league, simply set the "errors" and "crying" sliders to "very high."

Then, in the next page of options, make sure you have "hobbits" and "female players" turned off, but make sure the box next to "mercy rule" is checked.

Lastly, don't forget to set all games to 6 innings, and remember, if you don't have the "Capri Sun" setting to "well stocked," your team's performance will suffer!

I suspect that if the hobbit crowd has their way this will all be in OOTP 2007. In the meantime, Puresim is getting in-game expansion shortly in version 1.1 of Puresim 2007, which will feature an MLB-standard expansion draft with roster protection where you can either do the expansion manually, or the game will do it automatically per historical expansion if you want to sim it.

Sigh.

The game already has God Mode.

In the next patch, hopefully they'll be able to add "angry parents" to the play by play and "pink eye" to the injury file.

Of course, that won't mean much IMO if you can't control into which division expansion teams go and have no ability to control or change the alignment on your league.

From Shaun on the Puresim forum at Matrix Games:

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=1132585

"I have some great news. I spent all weekend doing a comprehensive implementation of expansion. It was the nightmare I expected Getting the HTML Almanac to robustly handle the fact that the league structure can now vary by season was an intense coding session. Re-working the scheduling stuff was fun too…

Basically the feature allows the league to expand to any of the supported configurations and allows you to move teams around at your discretion to any division simply via selecting the team from a dropdown. There is an expansion draft with roster protection (like what we had in PS 2005)

The feature is 100% complete so, I may release a 1.1 update sooner than even I was planning. One other thing I am considering now that I have robust flexible expansion is looking at providing an option for auto-expansion based on history when playing with real players. That said, you can now at least manually expand your association to mirror history

Here are some screen shots for those that are interested.
