Magic spokesman Joel Glass said the team had no further comment on the specifics of the suspension. He said Francis wasn't making the flight to Portland for a Friday night game against the Trail Blazers.

I don't like the Magic, the NBA, or Steve Francis, but he's got the coolest nickname ever.

Not sure what the reason was, but hopefully, this will finally lead to a strong push in the front office to explore trade offers involving Francis. Nelson has performed great as of late, and it's being clearer that Francis is expendable for the future.

Isn't it strange how it seems like every player wants out of Orlando? I assume it would be a pretty nice place to set up shop.

Stevie Franchise is the most innacurate nickname ever. He's a two guard stuck in a point guards body and not the most solid citizen to boot.

Actually, his nickname stems from the fact that he will demand a trade/be forced out by every franchise in the NBA, making him the ultimate franchise player after he plays for all 30 teams.

I thought it stemmed from a comical mispronunciation of the term "Frenchies."

The real rumor is Francis for Wally S. and Haskell! That's what the Orlando Sentinel says! I heard on ESPN about the Francis for Garnett rumor!
