unrealistic stats

info:

667 intel celeron
128 mb ram
8 gigs free

now the problems:

i've got two problems. i noticed recently that offense has gone through the roof in all the leagues i create. i recently downloaded the 4.2 and i'm not sure if that could be the problem. when i try to modify the league stats things just get worse. the lower i set the stats the higher they end up. i started a 1989 league, modified the league stats to make all the hitters suck and kevin mithchell hit .388 with 103 home runs.

also, with all the historical leagues i import prior to 1998 all the hitters have their 1998 stats inlcuded in their career stats, which is really frustrating when you try to rewrite the record books.

any help would be greatly appreciated. and thanks in advance.

League totals work in the opposite way. If you RAISE totals, the accumulated stats will DECREASE. I could go into a spiel describing the logic here, but just trust me on this one.

Or do a board search for something like "league totals" and you'll find some threads explaining it.

i know this is REALLY late, but thanks. it took me a while to make it click, but i got it know after finally doing a board search. i tried posting a week or two ago, but it obviously didn't go through. anyways, thanks for the help.
