6.5 not importing offers properly?
***DISCLAIMER*** This may in fact not be the fault of 6.5, but it seems very suspicious that this suddenly becomes a huge problem when the league switches over.
We are having a serious problem in an online league with offers not going through during free agency. Teams are exporting and while they are receiving emails from the players responding to their offers, the offers aren't actually recorded. Some owners are exporting from 6.12 and others from 6.5. This suggests the problem is not with exporting. But as the commissioner is using 6.5, the problem may be in 6.5 importing offers from FTP. Has anyone else gone through a free agency session with 6.5? Anyone else had any problems? This is quite mystifying as while we've always had the typical failed exports from time to time, nothing has ever been this bad.

Uh-oh. That doesn't sound good. This may discourage me from joining an online league. I've never been in one before, and was looking for a good one. But a problem like this would stop me. I hope it isn't for every league.

I should say this isn't happening to everyone in the league. So far 6 of the 29 non-commish owners have reported their offers not going through.

I'm personally exporting from 6.12 and my offers seem to be going through. We have some people on 6.5 and others on 6.12 and people have reported problems with both.
I do know a similar problem dates back to v5 so maybe this is nothing new, but it's never seemed to affect the league on such a large scale until now. I think when I get home I'm going to set up a dummy online league and download the file on both .12 and .5 and export teams from both and see what happens.

Actually now that I think of it I haven't exported since day 1 so it will be interesting to see if my latest offers go through today (or whenever we decide to continue as I don't think we'll be simming tonight).

Be sure to delete all the old exports in the expimp folder everytime you do the imports.

Add-on to this problem. A free agent export seemingly goes through as the league file contains an email showing the free agent liking the offer, but the offer does not show up on the offers screen and the player has not signed. Running 6.5a along with the commish.

![]() Well, bulldog, when did you switch, during the off-season or mid-season? Just wondering. I don't know if that'll help.

I'm in the same league as Bulldog, we did the switch during the offseason, after the WS and before the FA signing period.

The importing/exporting code for free agent offers hasn't been touched, so I doubt that this is a 6.5 problem...

Very Important:
Be sure to delete all the old exports in the expimp folder everytime after you do the imports. |

when people play online and export the file to the commish, it goes inside the commish expimp folder found inside ootp 6.5 folder. after the commsih imports the owners files, he needs to delete all the files in the expimp folder. if the commish doesnt it will cause problems for the next time the owners export there files to the commish. |

The exports don't just overwrite the old ones?
