Look at his stats. Notice the strikeouts! No one else does this so it is not a league totals issue:

Well K-Rod is an excellent relief pitcher in reality with high strikeout numbers. Turning him into a starter if he has the duration should lead to excellent numbers. Those are pretty damn excellent.

He has had two and going on a third 400+ strike out seasons!!
He averages over two strike outs an inning!

I swear that I have not adjusted his ratings at all.

And seven 1.00 era seasons this encludes as a closer!

As a closer he had 293 career saves before the computer run team switched him to "Starter." Now he has 129 career wins and 33 losses!

His endurance is a "5"

"K-Rod" is an excellent nickname.

With him being sooo dominant, it is obviously some sort of glitch. I wonder if I should delete him from the game or let him finish his career. He is 34 years old so he can't last too long.

I want to attach his actual page from the game but I do not know how. Here are his career stats:

Year G GS W L SV ERA IP HA R ER HR BB K CG SHO
2002 63 0 2 1 4 4.06 77.2 74 38 35 10 31 70 0 0

You might as well just let him finish his career, it isn't necessarily a glitch. In real life he has 231 strikeouts in 175 IP. With 2005 being only his 23 year old season, you've got to expect that 1.32 K per IP ratio to improve. Say it improves to 1.50 and suddenly in 200 IP he's got 300 strikeouts a season. If it improves to 2.00 he has 400Ks that year. Don't forget that ratings go beyond 100 (a.k.a. 10) - his ratings very well could be as high as 150. Really high, I know, but when you set a guy to be a completely dominant closer it's feasible.

K-Rod

Let the guy go! Even if it is a "glitch" you might as well enjoy the ride!

It's not a glitch. In my solo league, I had a guy who was a closer for a long time. Led the league in saves like 5-6 years in a row. The AI moved him to starter and he won over 250 games, including the leagues POTY award 3 or 4 times.

It's not really a glitch as it is a freak of nature. It happens from time to time.

The 24k's in 8.1 innings is most impressive, but striking out every batter faced is pretty good too.

I say let him finish out his career. He's having one of those rare extremely outstanding HOF careers and is as dominant as Babe Ruth was over his contemporaries. Stuff like that is fun as long as it doesn't happen very often.

I say leave it. I mean imagine if Mariano Rivera in his prime was given endurance and make a starter? Yeah, 20+ K's each time out isn't going to happen, but I think he would be a great starter (taking endurance out of the equation). I say enjoy the show!

Yeah. That's really unrealistic. You'd never see Loshe have a no-hitter in real life, EVER.

Now that I look more closely, look at the # of walks! Who cares if you get no hits when 11 guys get free passes.

Don't get me wrong, he's a great pitcher, but that is a lot of walks. Maybe guys should just not swing against him.

It also looks like he tied a record, No-no's on two straight starts.
