Sam Crawford Reds Uniform
For whatever reason, Kolorize does not want to do this one so I was wondering if someone can do it for me?

Virgil Cheeves 1920
Virgil Earl "Chief" Cheeves upscaled and colorized with the 1924 Cleveland Indians. deep nostalgia.ai for upscaling.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to tease much detail out if the shadows on this image. Upscaling went to what I call threading fairly quickly. I did not like what the ai colorizes did with the image so this is one was produced in GIMP. |

Previously I mentioned that I had worked on the Kuhn image and attached is the outcome, nowhere near as clear as the alternate option but any trace of his transition into werewolf has been minimised. |

Flint Rhem 1924
Attached is an image of Flint Rhem of the St. Louis Cardinals from his rookie year of 1924.
Rhem was a right handed pitcher who won over 100 games in his Major League career most notably during his time with the Cardinals. He made his debut in September and completed all 3 games that he started appearing in a total of 6 games. In 1925 he pitched 170 innings including 24 starts. 1926 can be judged as his career year posting a 20-7 record and finishing 8th in MVP voting. He posted what also turned out to be a career best ERA of 3.21. 20 wins shared the National League lead with Pete Donohue of the Reds and the Pirate tandem of Lee Meadows and Ray Kremer. Rhem also set career bests in many other pitching categories in 1926 including 34 starts, 258 innings, 20 complete games, and 72 strikeouts. In 1927 with his record dropping to 10-12 he set a career high with 2 shutouts. In 1928 he posted a winning record of 11-8 from his 22 starts. He was absent in 1929 but posted a similar record of 12-8 in 1930. In 1931 he equalled his career high figures in both strikeouts and shutouts finishing with a 11-10 won loss record. In early June 1932 he was sold to the Philadelphia Phillies and posted an overall season record of 15-9. 1933 resulted in a significant decline as his ERA climbed to over 6.50 and his record dropped to 5-14. 1934 Rhem split his time between the Cardinals and the Boston Braves winning 8 of his 9 victories with the Braves. In 1935 with the Braves, however, none of his 5 decisions was in the win column. He finished his Major League career back with the Cardinals in 1936 starting 4 of his 10 games. Rhem finished his career with a winning record of 105-97 with a 4.20 ERA. He finished 91 of his 230 starts. Last edited by UKBaseballfan; 06-15-2025 at 05:19 PM. |

Tommy Griffith 1913
Thank you, hope you appreciate you unravelling.
Here is an image of veteran outfielder Tommy Griffith in his penultimate season with the 1924 Brooklyn Robins. Griffith commenced his Major League career with the 1913 Boston Braves and was a relatively obscure member of the squad that captured the World Series the following season. Hit left but threw right he appeared in 37 games in that initial season but was reduced to 16 outings in the winning campaign as his slugging just scraped over .100. Aside of 1 appearance in left all his activities in the field were as a right fielder during his time in Boston. Joining the Cincinnati Reds in 1915 his games played of 160 led the National League. Hitting .305 he totalled what turned out to be a career high 85 runs batted in, from his role as the team's clean up hitter, clearly a breakthrough year. Additionally he also posted career high in both doubles (31) and triples (16). In 1916 with Hal Chase now featuring prominently in the lineup Griffith moved down 1 place in the batting order but still accumulated a career high 595 at bats but his slugging dipped by 90 points to .346 as he struckout a career most 37 times. In 1917 and 1918 he continued in the role of the Reds starting right fielder and 5 place hitter. In February 1919 he joined the Brooklyn Robins as Jake Daubert moved in the opposite direction. Taking over from Daubert as the three hitter but did not shine. In 1920 his productivity reduced such that Bernie Neis took over his starting role. In 1921 as his average improved to .312 he regained his starting and 3 place role, setting a career high .828 ops. 1922 resulted in him sharing right field with namesake Bert, despite batting a career high .316. Again re-established as a starter in 1923 he set a career high 70 runs scored. Now down as the 7th place hitter 1924 turned out to be his final year as a starter. Starting the 1925 season with 7 appearances without a hit he moved from Brooklyn to the Chicago Cubs appearing in 76 games with them to end his Major League career. Gary Holle 1979
I haven't seen many non-photoshopped images of Holle with the Rangers. I was hoping to get this one from the Rowe archives colorized if possible.
