Ding, ding, ding...huge disclaimers on this one. While the end result looks like a plausible human, I have 0% confidence that it has an actual resemblance to the person intended. Such is the risk of AI. |

Alex Ferguson 1917
Quote:
Attached is a 1924 image of Alex Ferguson with the 1924 Boston Red Sox. The namesake of probably the most successful British born manager in EPL history was a right handed pitcher who started 166 games. His career figures were a 4.93 ERA and a won loss record of 71-85. 1924 could well be described as Ferguson's career year as he reached double figures wins, 14, for the only time but led the American League in losses with 17, matching teammate Howard Ehmke and Joe Shaute of the Cleveland Indians. He also set career highs in strikeouts (75), innings (237), appearances (41) and starts (32). 1924 was Ferguson's last of 3 full seasons with the Red Sox. In 1925 he made just 5 appearances with Boston while later appearing with the New York Yankees and Washington Senators. Alex Ferguson made his Major League debut with the 1918 New York Yankees making a solitary August appearance pitching 2 plus innings in a finishing role with a unblotched ERA. It was not until 1921 that he reappeared with the Yankees posting a 3-1 record. On joining the Red Sox in 1922 he joined the starting rotation emerging with a 9-16 record from 27 starts. He repeated with 9 wins in 1923 but reduced his losses to 13 and lowered his ERA to 4.04. After finishing the 1925 season with the Senators he remained with them in 1926 ending with a 3-4 record. Joining the Philadelphia Phillies in 1927 he re-established himself in the starting rotation, starting all 31 of his appearances. He reduced his starts to 19 with the 1928 Phillies. 1929 his final season he ended with the Brooklyn Dodgers after appearing in 5 games with the Phillies. Ralph Michaels 1924
[QUOTE=infieldfly;5182462]palette.fm, et al.
Thank you for the superb colorization of the 1924 Ferguson image. Here is a 1924 image of Ralph Michaels with the Chicago Cubs. Commencing in 1924 Michaels appeared in 3 consecutive years with the Cubs. 22 of his 32 appearances were in 1925 where he played mainly as a third-baseman. His appearances in the field during 1924 were as a shortstop when he showcased a .364 average with 4 hits from 11 at bats. In 1926 his 2 appearances were as a pinch runner. |

Frank Parkinson 1924
Quote:
Attached is a 1924 image of Frank Parkinson with the Philadelphia Phillies. Parkinson represented the Phillies for 4 seasons, 2 as a starter and the last 2 as a back-up. In his rookie season of 1921 Parkinson appeared in 108 games as the Phillies starting shortstop. Art Fletcher became the starting shortstop in 1922 and Parkinson moved over to second in what was his most productive season. However, he did lead the National League with 93 strikeouts. Parkinson finished his Major League career with a .256 batting average from 1311 at bats. |

Walter Bellis 1909
I would like this guy done, he's a random minor league player from 1909 who is a distant relative of mine on my father's side. I have a few pro players in my family.

This is an enlargement done via recover mode in Gigapixel AI. I'll leave it up to you to determine if the likeness is sufficiently close to reality to justify colorization. |
