How Do You Install All-Star Team Custom Logos Into the Game?
I sure would appreciate it, if someone would tell me how to install my custom-made All-Star Team logos in place of the game-generated logos.
Keep in mind, I need step-by-step instructions... not very good with computers. I have tried several times to install my custom logos in the saved games logo folders, but the game never installs mine... it always install its default logos for the All-Star teams. Didn't see anything in the OOTP21 Manual about it. Last edited by Eugene Church; 11-07-2020 at 01:03 AM. |

EC, I have never done this but you should be able to follow this post. Delete american_league_all-stars.oi (and NL version). Make sure your custom made files have the same names. ex) american_league_all-stars.png Provided they are PNG files already. If they are not PNG files, they need to be converted.
Files folder = Z:\........\OOTP Baseball 21\data\logos https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=289522 |

Will OOTP allow you to put a custom All-Star team logo in place of the AI-generated All-Star logos? I will check for league logos in my saved game... maybe I can deleted the game-generated ones and place mine in their place. Still would like to know if anything can be done to install the custom-made logos. |

Eugene, you may be disappointed; I tried doing this and, as you can see, the logo that appears when you change the file extension from .oi to .png is not the one that appears in the game. I could be wrong, but I think the game auto-generates AL and NL All-Star logos in a process that is hard-coded. Hopefully I am wrong, as this AL logo is the one that I want the game to use; it's already in there but the game seems to ignore it.

I'm beginning to think that custom all-star team logos are not permitted... the game just generates one if your league is fictional.
Could be hard-coded. Thanks to both of you for your help. |

Hi Eugene
I've always used my own all-star logos in my fictional leagues and I've had no issues seeing them being used by OOTP. But what I do is directly save them into my saved game team logos folder. That way your fictional league will see them and not need to go looking in OOTP's general logo folder. Here is where to save them: C:\Users\Your Name\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 21\saved_games\Your Fictional League.lg\news\html\images\team_logos I hope this helps. ![]()

Thanks so much, reds1... much appreciate the great detail.
I have been there before... have to make sure I name the teams correctly. |

reds1, IT WORKED!
I put the team all-star logos in the wrong place... I put them in the League Logos... they should have been put in the Team Logos. Really appreciate your help... I can't wait until my next year's All-Star Game when I will get to enjoy the custom logos logos. Last edited by Eugene Church; 11-08-2020 at 01:46 AM. |

but the game was picking the set named "al_all-stars": When I made copies of the first set, renamed them, and saved them over the second set: the all-star images that I wanted finally appeared:

I woke up this morning, thinking about this (yes, such is my fascination for this game), and suddenly I knew why I had to take the step described above. I had neglected to spell out the full name of each league in this box, so the game had created its own logo images for "AL" and "NL." I will keep the extra set of league logos anyway, in case I make the same mistake again.

Thanks for the screenshots, Deja Bru... very thoroughly done... the computer-challenged like me really appreciate the effort and the information.
This should definitely improve my league graphics in a small way, but in an important way to old nitpickers like EC. All of you folks that replied have made my Islandian Pro Alliance dynasty report just a little prettier. Last edited by Eugene Church; 11-09-2020 at 12:50 PM. |

Eugene, where did you get your Eastern League and Western league logos? I am doing a league called the North American Baseball association and use Western and Eastern Leagues but have no logos for them. I tried searching txrangers thread to no avail.
