I completely agree. I think it's the combination of the simple blue piping, the script font for Scranton and the texture layer that really give it that classic 1940's look. It is a perfect fit for the time period. One of my all-time favorites as well!

TX -- I am blown away with your productivity! Many thanks from a new community member.
Could I request crossed bat logos (circa 70's / 80s) for LA Dodgers Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays (my OCD will thank you immensely!) http://cdn2.vox-cdn.com/assets/43210...9.00.35_AM.png https://www.teetransfers.com/images/...J-C1989-01.jpg http://content.sportslogos.net/logos.../full/2278.gif |

TX: Not sure if my previous post is lost or still pending, but regardless many Thanks. Could I request circa 1970's/80's crossed bat logos for Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays and the LA Dodgers? My OCD would greatly appreciate a full set for my historical replay starting in 1977

After DChepler's post, I'm going to give the York White Roses a shot. I have the logo laid out, but what colors do you all think would look good? I was thinking about a simple scheme like the Yankees would lend itself to the name well, but what are some other thoughts on this? Thanks in advance for the help.

I always like to bring some of the real baseball history into my fictional leagues and the Yankees classic navy and white pallet would be perfect for the White Roses. It's what they used in the 1940's, right down to the pinstripes.

Hey tx... can I get the texture layer for the caps as well? That layer really adds to the authentic look of wool.
