Looking fantastic txranger, but I think I have one more ballcap request, haha....sorry about that. Could you make the "C" on the Columbus cap match the cursive "C" on the jersey?
As for Sault Ste. Marie, I looked up a few logos but couldn't come up with a great idea. I kind of like the idea of an "M" in between the 2 "S" and I kind of like the 2 S's and M all blending together....see below for what I found. I don't really have any specific ideas for Kalamazoo or Mackinac though. Thanks! ![]() PS It's kind of amazing the logos that come up when you search "SSM" or "IM" |

I found this photo of Billy Martin who was a shortstop and played for the Gassers... The photo did not say if this was when he played for the Gassers or not... He only played in the majors for one year 1914 for the Boston Braves... So I'm bettin this has to be a Shreveport Gassers uniform...

Great, I think that gives me the most prevalent Texas League teams
Can you do something for this? It would be the Scranton Miners 1901-1920 logo might be a nice curve Scranton, nothing too elaborate 1920 might change to logo shown on Lynn Bell and his uniform, I saw 2 other players from the 20's but they were further away, the S looks the same They change into the Red Sox in 1939 and it looks like they did not deviate from the parent club uniform, but changed the hat Thanks!

and this is for the Springfield Ponies
1901-1920 Logo would be that S on the uniform 1920-1930 Would have same logo, but a 20's style uniform and the cap is white instead of black

New League - needing caps and jerseys...
I'm starting a new league to coincide with OOTP15 set to start in 1901 and consisting of teams representing the 12 largest cities at the time (2 6 team leagues). I will expand the league 24 teams by 1995 (still representing the largest cities) and take into account air travel starting in the mid 50s.
My first 12 teams in 1901 are.... American League Pittsburgh Alleghenies Philadelphia Athletics New York Knights Buffalo Electrics Boston Pilgrims Baltimore Lords National League St. Louis Wolves New Orleans Pelicans Detroit Wolverines Cleveland Blues Cincinnati Buckeyes Chicago Colts I have caps and jerseys for the 1901 New York Knights (past work by TXRanger) but I need the other 11 teams and am hoping one of you might be willing to take on the challenge. I'm not interested in logos on the uniforms - just the city names. I'll add the team logo to the jersey's shoulder after 10 years or so. BC UPDATE After doing some research (which I should have done first) I have found a number of previous creations that come close enough to what I was looking for in these early uniforms. Thanks for reading - and great job TXRanger on what you have been doing for everyone. Last edited by BigCity; 02-07-2014 at 09:44 AM. |
