Laseron Baseball Association

Transport yourself to the fictional world of Pelerum and witness baseball as it was meant to be. In Pelerum, they don't settle for fields not made of real grass, domed stadiums or designated hitters in the majors! Pelerum is much like Earth, but make no mistake...it is not Earth!

The world consists of 3 distinct regions each with their own language, cultures and ethnicities: Pald, Madoog, and Sirik.

Detailed maps show the world and its 13 nations consisting of almost 600 cities all with realistically plotted locations represented in the OOTP game files.

Everything from the stadiums, to the name and nations files, to the graphics were created from scratch so as to present a completely immersive fictional/fantasy baseball experience. Imagine following the career of Larry Tuxford, a starting pitcher from the town of Tanarel Point on the Erindel Peninsula, in the country of Elos.

This is the second incarnation of the Laseron Baseball Association, which originally ran for 26 in game seasons from 2002 to 2007, and has an excellent history of creative and very active ownership. Much of the core group of owners is back on board for part 2 and the game now has the power to do so much more to simulate baseball in a fictional universe than what we had during version 1 of the league.

Thus, we are starting over fresh in OOTP 11 with a clean new league file. 30+ years have passed on Pelerum since a flu epidemic and a small war halted the original league. An independent league is finally formed when the countries have restabilized. The Laseron Independent League proves successful and a group of future owners band together with L. Goody as their commissioner. The Independent League is disbanded after 3 years to make way for the reincarnation of the Laseron Baseball Association. For the first time ever, foreign players from Sirik and Madoog are invited to join the league.

If you just want to follow along that is great too. Feel free to join in on the discussions at our message board. We have many past owners and fans of the league that choose not to run a team for whatever reason. (time, preference). Laseron is the type of league you can just get immersed in even if you don't run a team.

Current Status/Update Section

We are conducting the Inaugural Draft and finishing up the final details to the league file. Article writing is and has been going strong and there hasn't been a pitch thrown yet!

Some in game screens. The reference to "Oceania" is the only remnant of Earth that I couldn't remove from the game. (wish that could be fixed. It would be cool to have it say Pald, Sirik, or Madoog)

Note: Please don't use these for your own league unless its a solo league that you keep to yourself or unless you owned the team when we came up with the logo. I have provided many logos for the community to use over the years and everyone is welcome to those, but these are for the LBA and the future LBA solo league template.

The LBA is getting underway as we start up the Inaugural Draft. Now is a good time to sign up for the waiting list at our forums. The waiting list is getting very short because we haven't bumped this in awhile, and the draft may reveal additional vacancies.

Join a great core of proven GMs who've been joined by many promising new additions to the LBA experience...

Both the LBA and DreamTeams' Metro League are legends in OOTPB history.

Be great if we could get a couple of names on the waiting list, as you all know leagues usually lose a couple of GMs early on and these vacancies maybe the only ones we will get for awhile. Also what have you got to lose by putting your name down, after all you can always take a pass if an opening doesn't suit you at that moment in time.

Mets here's the link to the site and boards, you can register on the boards and put your info on the waiting list. this way you can get to know the league and owners whilst waiting for an opening.

ps. When you register on the boards either register as your OOTP id, or when you post on the waiting list just say what your id is on the OOTP board that way we know who you are.

If you're into fictional baseball and like leagues where people can contribute to and build a rich, detailed world, you don't need to look any further. The LBA is where it's at. Get on board, you won't regret it.
