This and the US Steel are really cool. i might have to make an Industrial League.
I was wondering if you could do some uniforms for one of the Chicago industrial Leagues from the 1920's. My Great Grandpa played for one of the teams but I don't have any other info other then that. Baseball http://www.chicagohs.org/documents/c...o2_Schmidt.pdf The above link has tons of photos Not sure if you are doing defunct B leagues but one of the people in this league could be related to me. 1917 Central League Statistics - Baseball-Reference.com Mostly just tossing out ideas. U.S. Steel Gary Works
While searching for photos on the Birmingham Ind. League, I came across this photo from 8-2-1919 the old US Steel Gary Works Baseball Team... I tried my best to re-create the jersey... I have no idea what the logo means on the chest but it looks like the letters C or a G they looked very similar in some lettering used in that time period, an S, an I with a small o in the center...
I am thinking Indiana Steel Company? or some reference to Gary Indiana Steel??? Thought it was a unusual jersey and logo... Maybe someone out there will know what the logo refers to... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Sheesh ...the fans really took their teams seriously
... nice Grandstand ... solid Uniform, with very unique lettering ... other than Minor Leagues, we didn't have THAT, when I was fortunate to play in the Industrial league competition back in the late 70's to early 80's (mostly hospitals and Industrial businesses) down near the Cape and Rhode Island ... our field was on any sandlot that was available, with bleachers ... but I'll tell you what, we had fun with plenty of kegs parties to go around, after the games ...

Nash Motors
Excerpt from the Minor League Researcher
Minor League Researcher: April 2006 "The Midwest League had teams sponsored by Nash Motors, Simmons Mattress, etc., later years had teams sponsored by Spencer Coal in Chicago, Chicago Steel Mill, Studebaker, etc. The Midwest League played well over hundred games a season. Most of these companies also supported football teams in the fall, and basketball teams in the winter. This, the Midwest League, was only one league. In Central Illinois there was the Central Illinois Industrial League that had baseball teams like the Decatur Staleys (with Joe McGinnity, Chuck Dressen and George Halas, and whose football team-- "managed" by Halas— became the Chicago Bears), the Springfield Watch company, and Sinclair Oil's Havolines among others. (The Beloit football team was so loaded one season, that they knocked off one of Curly Lambeau's Packer teams.)" Nash Motors ![]() ![]()

I had been busy and hadn't checked into this thread in a while, gotta say Tex your work is amazing. I love these obscure minor league jerseys. As a side note, I hope Knuckler is okay, hopefully just taking a sabbatical.

Hey Tex, is it possible you can give my fictional New York Empires a vintage logo along with a vintage cap & jersey? I'm interested to see your take. Thanks!
