A great help, thank you so much.

It is a challenge to match a side image to a front facing image. The image you post appears to represent a player of diminutive stature and the features suggest that he could well be a match for the player, on the top below, extracted fifth from right in the second row from the top.

I am currently working on Charlie Kavanagh for the BioProject, and have sufficient evidence (other pictures from a family member that knew him well) to say that they player pictured is him indeed. I will post them soon!

Elmer Zacher 1910

We have smaller and rougher pics of Zacher, but here's a nice Paul Thompson silver gelatin shot of Zacher taking batting practice at the Polo Grounds before his one-game cameo with the Giants ended when they sold him to St. Louis on cut-down day.

De-browned and sharpened, as is my wont. From a 2020 RMY auction catalogue.

1870 Philadelphia Athletics Photo Collage

From that same RMY catalog, an assembly of Athletics in the pre-Association days. Everybody from Al Reach to Count Sensenderfer, present and accounted for.

Two years ago, someone was asking about Nate on Reddit, saying he was friends with Nate's grandson. If you are either that friend or the grandson, you may have already seen these, but here's the best treatment I can give them.

Nate with the 1961 Omaha Dodgers, from whence the Orioles drafted him.

Nate's picture in the 1991 Coca-Cola "All-Time Orioles" card set. I am unable to locate the original image.

Both pictures slightly tweaked (de-browned, sharpened, highlights emphasized) as I prefer to do.

Hope this helps.

Thank you. It seems plausible that all the 10 players are included in the 1931 spring training team photo including Major Leaguers Howie Storer, Bill Marshall, Pat Creeden and Jud McLaughlin. It's not clear, but the player second from right in the bottom row, Eddie O'Neil, could be wearing glasses and does appear to be a good match for the be-spectacled player on the extreme left of the fourth row down in the team photo.

I found this image on ebay listed as Ned Garvin, not sure if it's really him or not because I never seen this one before but it looks like they have actual real pictures of other players that are legit on their page unlike that one person so I figured I'd ask.

It looks a lot like Virgil (Ned) Garvin, but I'm not certain. The hair on the guy in the suit looks wavier.
