question about shots
Have only played a few exhibition games with FHM10 but noticed that "blocked shot" totals on the rink display don't always match the totals in the box score.
Also, why are "Shots blocked" included on the player's defensive stats screen when they appear to be the shots that a player has taken but which were blocked by the opponent? I had assumed that they would be shots taken by opponents that the player had blocked. Are these recorded anywhere? In the post-game analysis "blocked shots" are described as a "plus" for the player whereas I would have thought that the defender who blocked them would have deserved more credit. Hope that's not too confusing!! |

Shots blocked are shots blocked by the player, not his shot attempts that were blocked. As far as I can see, the team totals in the display during the game are matching the individual player totals and the amount shown in the boxscore.

Thanks for the reply Jeff but I'm still confused.
Just played a Rangers v Bruins game where Rangers had 6 blocked shots recorded on the team stats and boxscore. On the shots screen those shots were recorded as being taken by Rangers not blocked by Rangers, so each had a pop-up box with for instance Shot: Jacob Trouba/Blocked: Brad Marchand. Trouba indeed had 2 shots that were blocked by Bruins but they are recorded in box score and his player stats page as shots that he took, not that he blocked. This seems to be the opposite of what you're saying. Apologies if I've completely misunderstood this.....won't be the first time! |

It seems to me that the information in the pop-up boxes on the shots screen is the wrong way round so that the shooter is described as the blocker and vice versa. It's the same in FHM9.

Yeah, those boxes have it wrong. We'll get that fixed.
