Why Do My Beard Settings Keep Changing?

Ok...this is an odd one that has bugged me for years. Maybe it is something simple that I'm not understanding. Every once in a while my Beard Settings/Beard Frequency under the Players & Facegen tab will change. All of the numbers for each type of beard go to 73. It is always 73 when it changes. So each type of beard now has the same probability of being selected. I cannot for the life of me figure out why this happens. It will be randomly throughout my fictional league at different load times. Every once in a while I will check the settings to make sure they are set to default or one of my beard_frequency.txt imported files. It always starts out working just fine but eventually this just creeps up and they are set to 73 and I get some weird beards that I just don't like on a lot of players. Just curious if anyone else has ever seen this? I would love to fix this or figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I had this problem in OOTP18 and it was supposedly fixed in a patch, but I still had the issue. Haven't noticed it all in 19, though.

I just read your thread from last year Andy. Yep...the exact same issue has popped up again in OOTP19. I've seen it multiple times in multiple leagues. So strange! It has been around for years and I'm still curious why it sets them all to 73.

So you haven't seen it in 19 Andy? I sure have. It's just so annoying because I keep feeling like I have to check the settings each time I load/play in a league.

Anyone else seeing this?

I've been playing baseball sims from the paper and dice days of 1958 through the move into computers and on-line and all that involved.

Sixty years ago, I would never have thought there would be a game so great that the most irritating problem would be the 'beard setting.'

Thanks Markus and the OOTP team for making all this possible.

And, yes, getting the beard setting right would be good.

I agree with you Leo. This is by far the best baseball game ever created. This is a minor issue for sure. I just like to help them make this great game even better!

Not that I have noticed. Every new league I create I always go in and 0 out everything I don't want. I haven't gone back and checked my settings (at work now), but I haven't noticed any players with anything I've put a 0 in.
