Thank you for your reply, I have another Earl Wilson at BC534, an upper chest-head shot. It's very time consuming going through the Vault images when you don't know where to begin?

Boston Vault Images Jerry Stephenson

I thought they went out of business 6 - 10 years ago. Thanks for the information. I have a printout from the Vault before they went out of business or so I thought. The printout is my only source of Vault information. My question is concerning Jerry Stephenson. Is there a VAULT image of him under II451? My printout lists Stephenson under II449 - II452, but my Folders don't include an II451 either as a Red Sox or Dodger for Stephenson. Here are all the images of Stephenson in my Vault folders. I may have mis-placed him or as with Earl Wilson mis-typed him and he's floating around lost in the Computer Unknown world. Any help is appreciated.

Here it is showing him with the Dodgers. Note the folder in question has the benefit of being watermark free. Oops , a little late.

Stephenson Vault images

Many thanks to Buster Narum and UKBaseballfan, that's 2 RBI's for me (Reply w/Baseball Image). I now had an image with which I could search now. After going through Vault Folders in this order II's, A's, B's, C's, D's and E's I discovered a missing II Folder I had placed among the C's through E's Folders over six years ago. The II Folder was meant to go after the F's, G's, and H's Folders and was out of sequence. I probably would not have found it anytime soon if you two had not provided the image for me to search with. Many thanks to the Rookie and the Hall of Famer.

I don't see either name in my Vault Index from Chop Country.

Do you have that list? I think someone posted a link the other day...

AFAIK, that list is fairly accurate.

Are there any other images of these two floating around, I searched all my Vault Folders and came up empty. I found a few small black & whites on searches. Thanks for any reply.

Again, thank you, and maybe you should be called up to the Majors, out of the Minors!

Post 1963 Originals

He's overpriced them but they're worth a look. Ebay seller BBCEmporium has several dozen original prints from which the 1963 Post baseball cards were made. Given the terrible cardboard (Cereal boxes, not used by, say, Picasso) and cheaper printing, these prints are astonishingly well done. The color is vivid, the lighting is as good as Ozzie Sweet at his best, and the posing is spectacular, and the stadium backgrounds are from across the game (when was the last time you saw shots from the Braves' era of Milwaukee County?)

I couldn't resist a few of them. Not one of these guys is tough to find in that uniform nor generally but they're just spectacular.

In order:
George Thomas 1957 (Angels; this image was erroneously used on the card of his teammate Lee Thomas)
Chuck Cottier 1959 (Senators)
Jerry Kindall 1956 (Cleveland)
Roger Craig 1955 (Mets; this was printed reversed)
Rod Kanehl, 1962 (Mets)

Two more plus contrast

Felix Mantilla 1956 (Mets)
Tom Cheney 1955 (Senators)

This is mostly to provide the contrast between the Cheney photo and the published card. I mean Post's handling of these reminds me of what it looks like when one of us pulls a photo off scanned microfiche on Newspapers.Com

It's amazing how much a difference that makes. If you've ever seen the 1981 Donruss set that features mostly the work of Jack Wallin at Wrigley and Comiskey Park, and a little from me from New York, you would think we were amateurs using cameras we found in the trash cans outside the ballpark. It's the printing. It created shadows and distortions and turned oranges red and blues green. Jack's originals are textbook solid, and even mine are ok.

Felix Mantilla BOS Vault images

Still working on my Boston 1963 Folder. These are the Vault images I have of Felix Mantilla but I'm certain I am missing one. I remember a Topps Vault image (?) of Mantilla with Boston that had a big yellow/orange ball behind him, and he had on what appeared to be a rain jacket under his short-sleeved shirt. Am I correct or was it another player or not even a Topps photo? Any help would be appreciated. And thanks in advance.
