Apologies if I've gone goofy, but didn't we used to have a facepack that included pictures of a player with every team he played for? Babe Ruth as Red Sox, Yankee AND a Brave, for example?

Not to diminish the excellent work that tnfoto has done with the Photopack, but I'm only seeing one pic per player there. Am I missing something?

I mention this because I've come across what could be a useful selection of pictures, but I don't want to duplicate anything we already have. If there's a different resource I should be checking against, please let me know.

You've not gone goofy. Pegasus used to update his batters and pitchers packs with images of players with each of their major league teams. That's the genesis of the UIN list. The last update I have, however, is from 2011. I continue to maintain the UIN list because it has been helpful for many other projects.

Other sources you may have been thinking of are the yearly packs Ceej puts together, or the year-by-year specialty card packs organized by okcochise.

Here's a much younger image of Bird than the current Facepack photo, as he is pictured with the 1892 St. Louis Browns. The woodcut was part of a team collage that was printed in the 3/20/1892 edition of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Rotes was a well-known player in his hometown of Pottstown, PA, but he played under a pseudonym--Poodle Rhoads. Here is a larger and clearer version of the current Facepack and B-R image, showing Rotes/Rhoads ca. 1891, as published in the 18-Apr-1934 Pottstown Mercury.
