MOBBL (fictional, modern-era) looking to fill several spots

The MOBBL (MO Bettah Baseball League) is a fictional 16-team OOTP6 league who has just completed their first year of play. MOBBL GM's are active participants in forum discussions and to contribute to our communal league history by writing news articles and press releases about the team that you build. We use a participant points system to help keep track of participation.

To become a member of the MOBBL, we ask that you

* Have a copy of OOTP 6 (latest patch).

* Are an interested and active owner/participant, or honestly mean to be.

* Have an appreciation for creating a fictional world, or writing about a team that exists solely as zeros and ones in some server somewhere. Those who consistently create Dynasty reports on the OOTP Dev. board, or have the desire but just haven't committed to doing so yet particularly pique our interest.

We'd like to get good active owners to take over the following teams before we begin FA.

San Dimas Wendigos
Tucson Toros

couple of things about our league:

- fictional
- uses Skydog's development settings
- participation point system
- june 1 draft
- sim T/Th/Su...currently 5 games/sim

take a look at http://www.mobbl.com and drop me a line at beejaydee@gmail.com if interested! We'd love to have you!

Great league. The commisioner did a great job in his first full season as GM. All of these teams have the talent to compete, and now is the perfect time to join because Free Agency has yet to begin. The league also uses Catobase for those of you who can't get enough stats

Good question. I would hope Brandon would allow this. After all, we each created these teams ourselves and either begged for a logo (thanks Knuckler) or created one for ourselves. That was one of the best parts about this league.

yes it will cost something later to make those kinds of changes, but new owners are off the hook.

I gotta say anyone looking to get into a league on the ground floor, this is the one for you. We have a very active core group of managers who are all very competitive and knowledgable. Brandon is also one of the best commishes I've ever played under. He's very communicative, flexible, and super consistant with sims. Also, the parity in this league is real high, especially for just starting the 2nd season. All of those available teams are competitive; ones that had poor first seasons were largely due to manager inactivity, rather than poor managing, so all could be playoff bound instantly with only minor tinkering (also made easier by MOBBL being a very active trading league). Anyone with any questions, feel free to PM or email me (knudlen@gmail.com) and i'll give you honest answers. Also, anyone who hasn't used Catobase needs to check that out as well. Great tool for stat freaks.

thanks guys! I'm going to hold off for another day or so before proceeding into free agency to give peeps' a chance to get in at the best time.

I have to say that the core of the league is the best that I have run across - super knowledgable and passionate (as you can read in the forums). With a few more to add to the core, I think those who pass on this chance will regret it

also anyone who joins now will get a series of haikus written about your new team, at no additional charge. Also, i'll send you a fridge magnet filled with valuable coupons for use at local merchants. (note: only local if you live in san diego. [Note: only valuable if you go to the nail salon])

For what it's worth, I just joined this league, and the GMs have been great to me.

bump...we just simmed the first day of free agency but there's plenty of time for a new owner to jump right in without missing any opportunities!

I just submitted an application to take over the Detroit franchise. If accepted, I would like the league's approval to move the franchise to Roswell, Georgia.

I look forward to competing against all of you!

Now that those 2 saps took their teams already, i can let the cat out of the bag. detroit and toleda were the crappy teams! The 2 remaining teams were the super awesome way good ones! So all you lazy slackers living in your parents basement can take advantage of your naturally slothful nature! Brush the cheetos dust off your fingers and get in this league while you can.
