- Inaugural season was 2003 - currenly 05/01/12

Very nice looking site and league. Is the team HTML page correct, shows Texas to have -$40M in cash? Quite a hole to dig out of...

Thanks for the compliments.

It is correct, but the hole isn't as big as you'd imagine. If Texas did nothing they'd be cash positive or near cash positive by 2014 and ready to go since they sport one of the larger markets in the league. But Texas has many free agents this year that should be traded (can't sign most of them anyway) to not only jump start the rebuild but drastically reduce this years payroll and expedite the cash flow. In addition to the free agents to be, Texas has other nice to studly major leaguers who could further speed up the rebuilding if they were moved. Also, while I wouldn't do it if I were Texas, teams have already offered the past GM more than $20m for first round draft picks. So there are many many ways for Texas to get out of the hole.

The crazy thing is while Texas needs to start rebuilding because they bit off more than they could chew and sold off too much of the future, they are only a pitcher or two from being a wild card contender.

I would love to be a part of it. Just waiting for an e-mail or for the commissioner to post letting me know if I am in.
