Fantasy catcher quandry

In my money league (5x5 MLB Univ), I currently have Jason Kendall as my catcher. I dont need to tell anyone here he is stinking up the west coast. I dont want to drop him just yet (do I?), but I have some temporary space on my roster, where I can bench him and pick up another catcher.

Pretty much the only fodder out there is Jason Phillips, Michael Barrett, Ben Molina, Johnny Estrada, Mike Mathany, Miguel Olivo, Mike Leiberthal, Damian Miller, and Ben Schneider. I grabbed Phillips, but I dont think he will stay this hot for very long. Im inclined to grab Barrett or Molina instead.

How very "Channel 9" of you.

I'd go with Barrett or Estrada. Barrett's probably the best bet - he was one of the better catchers last year. Estrada isn't bad, but I think Barrett has more potential upside for the season - he started slow and has been hitting well as of late.

BTW, you're not the one who traded Hideki Matsui for Kendall, are you?

Wasnt it WPIX channel 11 though ? I think so. I was pretty young then, but for some reason, that saying ALWAYS stuck in my head

It could very well have been Channel 11. I could place it in both places, but now that you mention it, it seems more likely 11 was the place for it.

Now, if you don't mind, instead of gloating about being right about Kendall, I'll just play Intellevision and yell out "PIX PIX PIX PIX" at the screen

I can still see the guys face that did the WPIX Editorial. Looked kind of like the guy that hosted Wonderama
