Templates question

I have downloaded several files like D FaceGen heads and Bag o heads. What do I do from now on to get my own logos and uniforms attached to the players. Is it pure Photoshop work ? Or do I need any other programms to do this ? Do I have to do every player by himself ?

Thanks

Skywalker

There are some pre-made uniforms around, especially at Alinken's site:

http://newrepublic.silvergriffin.com/ootptools.html

There are the MLB ones, some beer league ones, Coast to Coast ones, ones from the logo/uniform competition, etc. Or, you could make up a uniform yourself from Deft's template or request one on the board.

Then you can copy one of the heads from the bag of heads into the uniform, save as a (playername).bmp, and enable it in the game. In Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro or with the free software in this thread:

http://www.gimp.org/

If you want to create your own heads, you can download the FaceGen demo and the hair template and that should get you on your way.

It's one operation per player but I've only given players heads if they've done something in my league (1st round pick, all-star game, player of the month). I keep thinking it would be nice if someone put together a facepack with a bunch of FaceGen heads but most of what I think is cool about this deal is that your players have always have YOUR correct fictional team's uniform. Sorta defeats the purpose.

So basically all I need would be that someone made me a uniform for a team and then I could use the various heads which one can download ?

Btw Is making a uniform more difficult than making a logo ?

You'd need the uniform (which you could actually piece together yourself from Deft's template -- it has shirts of various colors, hats of various colors, etc.), a software that does layers (Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, GIMP), and the bags of heads.

I'd say it could be easier than coming up with a logo from scratch. Deft already has different colored shirts, different colored hats, etc. in the template. If you just combine the stuff he's got in there you can come up with a pretty good uni. Adding in hat logos or shirt logos or letters should be straitforward if you already have the logo.
