Join TigerFan's All-Sports Replay : Athletes Required

Since I am using a number of fictional players in most sports in my All-Sports Replay I have decided to open up the Dynasty to board members or relatives they may wish to have attempt a pro sports career.

I know it has been done quite often in the past. I did this a long time ago in one of my HOB replays and no ne has done it better than Matt's Time Warp dynasty but this one will be a little different. One difference is mine will be much slower. I am basically simming just a day at a time so it will be a long time before these players reach the big leagues - if they ever do. The second difference is the athlete's you enter will not be baseball players. Instead they will attempt to become professional athletes in one of 4 other sports in the late 1940's.

Here are the sports and what I need for your player to begin his career.

1- Basketball - He will start as either a freshman at a college of your choice (remember it is 1947 however) or a high school senior and go through the recruiting process. I will be closing off the freshman in about 2 weeks so anyone added after that point will be a high school senior.

2- Football - He will begin as a college senior at the school of your choice (again remember these are 1947 schools) and will enter next years NFL draft

3- Golf - He will begin as an amateur and depending upon his performance during the season may turn pro next year

4- Boxing - He will begin as a professional in the weight class of your choice and will try and work his way up to a title fight but the odds will be against him.

5- Nascar - will not be introduced until 1949 so please no entries yet.

EDIT - In response to a question below Where is hockey? Just wanted to post up here that I am forced to use WhatifSports for my hockey replay and it has no customization so fictional players are out.

I would have loved nothing more than to add relatives to hockey but unfortunately due to the lack of a good career based replay that allows a fair amount of user customization for hockey I am forced to used WhatifSports to generate my hockey results.

The drawback is there is no career development, trades or customization allowed on my part.

Hopefully, someday soon someone makes a career based hockey game with the ability to edit players and customize league sizes.

High School senior means he will go through the TDCB recruiting process but which school he selects is entirely up to the game.

Thanks guys, keep 'em coming. Metsgeek, I was just going to keep it at 2 per person so I am using your basketball player and golfer. I left out the Notre Dame QB on purpose because he would likely go undrafted since I will already have info on the real QB's from Notre Dame.

If you are choosing college football you may be better off taking a lesser known school to have a better chance of starting. In all instances where I can find a real player to rate he will take precendence over boardmember named players.

Finally, I will just add that the first user named player made his pro debut. I will start a new thread discussing each person as they join the AllSports Dynasty. Boxer Charley Smith got a win in his first bout.
