Most dominant performance ever?
In 1884, 24 year old Louis Moore puts up a season for the ages:
NL League Leaders: Batting Average Moore CIN .351 Borquez SDP .342 Rodriques LAD .330 Defazio LAD .328 Benson CIN .325* On-Base Pct Moore CIN .480 Borquez SDP .474 Rodriques LAD .432 Brodeur MON .425 Hunsucker PIT .411 Slugging Pct Moore CIN .865 Borquez SDP .620 Benson CIN .569* Sherlock PHI .564 Defazio LAD .511 Homeruns Moore CIN 78 Sherlock PHI 43 Borquez SDP 41 Benson CIN 24 Conlan NYM 24 I don't think I have ever seen an individual player in OOTP dominate to that degree. Over 3 times as many homeruns as the guys tied for 4th in the league? And this is a 12 team league (1980 divisional structure). Edit: Oh yeah, forgot to add this. Cincinnati's Riverfront Stadium had a 0.87 park HR factor this year. All in all it adds up to 47.8 offensive win shares for a team that finished 5 wins below pyth expectations.

just a bump for mr. moyer, to see if anyone else can compare, though i doubt it. 47 win shares is off the frickin' charts! thanks for dropping that in here, jay.
