Here we take the winners of the divisional polls plus the non-winning team with the highest number of votes to determine the divisional series winners.

And the round 1 playoff matchups are:

STL 56 66.67 vs. LA 41 48.24

ANA 48 55.81 vs. NYA 37 42.53

Last year, when I did one of these things (though, admittedly, the criteria were a bit different), we predicted that the Red Sox would win, if I recall correctly. I think I actually asked everyone to vote for the team they would want to win, though.

I voted with my heart instead of my head

IOW -- I picked the Twins. Not only because of me being a Yankee fan, but because the Twins are my "adopted" team since I've moved up here. I tend to root for them unless they are playing the Yankees.
