Cato question
I just got a new computer and I burned the "Cato" folder onto a cd from my old computer and put it on my new one. Now when I try to open it up I get a run time error 339 and it says that "Component ControlResizer.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" Now I thought that every catofile I had was in the Cato folder so I'm not sure why this is happening. Anyone have this problem before?
Also, if it is that I didn't get all the proper files onto the cd before I burned it, if I just keep my league database file and reinstall cato on the new computer will it work with my league? Thanks in advance for any help. |

might be some dll file or something your missing? especially if you did not install it agian on the new pc. all you have to save is the database file, everything should be in there already. i would say just reinstall cato on your new pc then just copy the cato dir from the old pc or your database files over. remember you gotta install 5.4 then 6.0 then 6.14 update in that order for it to work right.

Ok, so the ONLY file I need to keep is the league's database microsoft access file? NOTHING ELSE? Not even the yearly data folders for the first 3 seasons of the league? |

i dont think so, i dont see why you would. the data folder is just where Cato puts the imported csv files it gets from your reports and league file each season. The database file has everything in it that would be in those data folders. There is really no reason not to save that directory if you still have it but as long as you have the DB file you still have everything you need to build your webpages. But like I said before if everything was working fine on the previous PC and you just copied the Catobase dir to a CD, after you install Cato on the new one just copy it off the CD to the hardrive and everything is back like it was.
