Logo Contest Offshoot
Would anybody be interested in making a contest for the best uniform template for the winning logo each week?

Deft this is a good idea. The only problem I can see is I would end up using a template someone else uses. Do you think that will be a problem?

Well, one of the cool things if we do this is after the contest you can mix and match the uniform designs you like. For example, take the cap logo from one template, jersey logo from another, and combine them onto a different cap and jersey from another template.
So even though only one design wins, you can pick and choose elements from all of the designs.

I'd be in. I'd be surprised if you didn't get alinkens, too.
Just so I'm clear, we'd be making a uni that fits the standard Deft template, no?

I've been making uniforms for many of my favorite logos posted on the boards....
I'd love to see what people come up with for a uniform contest. This is a great idea! |

Mr. Church could you organize this using the winning logo of the first weeks poll?

I will be glad to help anyway I can. What do you want me to do? Is this going to be a competition like the logos? Keep in mind I am not good with computers like you guys. But I will help out in whatever way I can. Just let me know. |

Andruw Jones models the latest in Timberjacks apparel (it really sucks to go through so much trouble to make the Timberjacks logo perfectly clean - with nothing around it.. and then just have it look all crappy anyway when you have to reduce it so much to fit on the tiny uniform picture.... ah well...)

I would think it would be best if we did it like the logo contest and submitted them to a third party (EC) and let him present them all at once. That way I don't have the advantage of already seeing what everyone else is doing before I submit.
EC, what's the plan?

Should we also all use the template face? Not sure how much sway that would have...

The face can make the uniform. I think we should make a rule that says you have to use a fictional face though. But I would be ok with using the template face if everyone is going to use it also.

I could go either way. The face can influence the choice but it would be nice to get some more unique faces. Using the default face is probably fairest -- not that "fair" is a big deal. The lovely parting gifts are enough for me.

I'll vote for the same concept as the logos (just like what Bobble said). I also love to be able to put a fictional face rather than the default one.
