Had alot of ideas for the Jacksonville contest entry and sometime to work on them. Sent in four, but here are two more that I did later.

Cap on the "J" is a very nice touch.

Good anchor, too.

Would prefer the lettering some other way.

Here is another one that I did that, I sent to many in for the contest and there wasnt room for this one.

Often times the simplest logos are the best.

Here is one I did for the contest, but I guess the overall feeling is that it sucked. I made some changes so its easier to see what I was trying to do. The "commodores" is in the shape of a ship and the brown has a wood grain texture. The Jacksonville, now larger is wavely, like a wave and has a texture like a wave. The background has a canvas, like a sail texture. The mast and sail are just to fit with the commodores as a boat theme.

I like the steering wheel of the ship. But maybe just put the word Jacksonville across the whole picture, and take out the Commodores completely.
