Ratings question

Are the batter and pitcher ratings always correct or are they the scouts interpretation of the player? Also, if I'm looking at a player from another team and, say, my team has a really bad scout and the other team has a really good scout, whose scouting report am I getting?

The ratings are seen through the eyes of your scout. There are subtle difference in the ratings for each type of scout but from what I've seen, nothing extremely dramatic. The actual ratings of the players are hidden. You will never know for certain how a player will do until they perform.

Killebrew, why would you be seeing the ratings through the other teams scout? I thought all ratings are seen through the eyes of my scout? Well I learned something new here.
