There used to be some good OOTP3 leagues but I don't think there are any awesome ones any longer. Sorry.

Cards4ever, if you are going to try and find leagues to join using this method, I suggest both searching through the threads to see whats available,league-wise, and also posting a bit more information. Current league or historical....real or fictional.........what version of OOTP do u have...........just info that may help league commissioners to see if their league may be of interest. Hope you find what ur looking for.

You know, this got me thinking to myself, "What exactly is a good league?" The hotel industry has criteria which enables them to tell the difference between a 2 star hotel and a 5 star hotel.

For online OOTP leagues, what would that criteria be?

Many things...

Regular sim schedule that is mostly on time
High owner partisapation
Commish with a good amount of humor
Nice looking web site with lots of info
Active board where owners can comunicate

And lastly a group of guys that STICK with their teams over time and not bail at the first sign of problems. I am not the best with names so I tend to tie the owners personality to his team and when you get many owners with 1 club it doesnt feel as tight nit.

Well, all leagues are different. Currently, I'm running a league where you create your own player (up to 2 players, if you wish). You can negotiate your contracts with the GM's of the league. We're planning on holding the initial draft on February 15th. We have some jobs open in the league if you're interested. The league message boards are at http://s3.invisionfree.com/NABA/index.php?act=idx

The link for the league homepage is on that site. We're looking for new members, so sign up now!

Matt Anderson's Golden Age of Baseball is one of "OOTP's best" leagues. I think you'd fit in well.
